Welcome to see the Eastern Finnish Gulf's archipelago and nature.

This presentation is for people who use to sail around on the Eastern Finnish Gulf. The main purpose is to give hints how to better utilize this area for recreational purposes.

The islands are categorized to big ones, mid sized, and built. Every island has a chart picture and a description of its nature. Additionally, there are photos from significant sights. They open bigger by clicking. All islands of this presentation are situated at the archipelago of Kotka, Hamina, Vehkalahti and Virolahti. The covering area of this island introduction expands yearly.  

If you are planning to come to Finland and have a chance to visit these islands, this presentation will give you valuable information in advance. In case you never get here, you still get some idea about this unique place by just browsing the site. 

Best time to get around here are the summer months. Most of the photos are taken at this time of the year, and so you'll get onesided view. Alltough it is possible to visit these islands at any time of the year, other than warm summerbreeze will feel unappealing to many.

Some people say that there are practically no other place as rich and beautiful and easy to go to. In addition, they seem to come back over and over again, finding new aspects every time.
